What a life

What I realised today after browsing quickly through some of the blogs that have been entered into the blog off, is that there are so many people who have too much time on their hands...Including me. It scared me to think that while we should all be working or contributing to society in some way we sit here in front of our PC's and write, filling our blog pages with some interesting and some uninteresting facts. Some of us use it as an escape from reality, to some its a hobby, others use it to explore their creative writting skills and for many its the perfect tool to fill up the hours of boredom that plague us.

What I also realised the other day while stopping off at a mall to grab a quick bite ( at 2.30pm) was that there are so many people who do not work. The Mall was full of people in casual dress, people sitting drinking coffee, people shopping and people having their hair done. Do yourself a favour next time to you step out of the office - look around and see many people are not at work. Makes you think.....

Getting it all this morning

I woke up today and wondered what life had in store for me today. I was hoping that the cold weather had moved over, taking with it the dark cloud of serious thought that consumed me yesterday. Its getting warmer and I feel a sense of contentment today.

Somebody once said to me 'You always seem to get what you want". I was surprised by this and wondered if the statement held any truth. I realised after looking back at my life and taking all the important things into condsideration that I infact have been blessed in getting what I have always wanted.

The secret to getting what you want is simple.....it needs to be completely realistic and achievable, based on that everyone has the ability to get what they want.

Wanting to win the lotto is based purely on luck and no matter how realistic it may seem in getting it, its not achievable by your effort alone.....because luck has the upper hand in this
instance the want is not that achievable and you getting what you want is not a guarantee.
If your goals are optainable there is nothing standing in your way of getting what you want

Believe you can and you will!

Its freezing today.....This cold weather today has made me start thinking about the winter that lies ahead of us. Just the thought of it brings shivers down my spine.

I realise on days like this, that my mood and frame of mind are so easily effected by the weather. When its warm and sunny I feel alive and free, I am inspired by the beauty of the day and love life. When it becomes cold its as if I become someone else - I feel more serious about life and start to analyse our existence and wonder if what I am doing in my life is what I am suppose to be doing.

Winter for me is a time for reflection, hence the more serious personna. I reach a state of brain freeze.... and no not the type you get when eating an ice cream too fast. Its as if I am stuck in the daily thought of what our purpose in life is.

During the summer season I become a child again, free spirited, free from the pains of serious thought that the winter brings. Its amazing what sunshine can do for the spirit and the soul.

Bring on the sunshine!

Love IS....

What is Love? I find myself asking this question hopeing to come up with a reasonably good explanantion, the thing is there is'nt only just one explanation that sums it all up.
Love is different for everyone and we all have our own understanding and interpretation of what love is.

My Conclusion after asking this question soo many times is that love is complexed, its a cluster made up of emotional, physical, mental , intellectual and spiritual matter. Love is a something that you feel and after many hours of thought I have realised that its something you can't really explain with words. Perhaps the dictonary can explain it best: Love is.....have a great affection or liking for, a strong positive emotion of regards and affection, get pleasure from.

What about those butterflies? Mmmm many people associate Love with the butterfly feeling that they experience with the birth of a new Relationship. That feeling of excitement, the feeling or yearning to be with that person, you feel invincable and that nothing in the world can get you down. As wonderful as this sounds what we need to understand is that this feeling does and will eventually fade.

Many people think that once this feeling has gone then they are no longer inlove. This may very well be but there is a possibility that perhaps the relationship has moved on to another level. What the butterflies left behind was a deeper and different love, a comfortable and more mature love. If you continue to chase the butterflies then you will forever be chasing that non existent pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Its possible to confuse love with infatuation and lust, its easy to get caught up in a whirlwind of emotions and mistake it for being love. I think we would be wise to understand that there are different types and different levels of Love

Love is about Giving , Lust is about taking.......

Thought for the day

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones that care.

Dont worry about the world ending today because its already tomorrow in Australia.
